i still can't seem to understand how he hugged the wall so much in the third turn. i always seem to deviate from the wall.

Try holding down shift a little bit longer.

The easiest way is to download his ghost. Once you have that, then you can race against it and find where you deviate from it.

Wow, that was amazing. I also liked the advice he gave when going up the ramp. I will always follow it from now on :D .
