This is the officially unofficial L2 License Guide.

Requirements for L2 Testing are as follows:
- Are at least at a Blue-5 Glove (13300 RP)
- You have acquired the L3 License
- At least 2000 or so Lucci

-- TEST #1: TARGETING --
Objective: Collect item boxes to earn Missiles. Shoot the eight Lodumani targets, then cross the finish line.
Time Limit: 26 seconds

Make sure to grab every single box and to line up all your shots. If you don't shoot all the targets, you fail and the test will be terminated. Make sure to line up your shots, but don't take too long. After shooting the targets, the last box on the track will contain a Magnet, which you must use on a weight hovering over the finish line.

-- TEST #2: MOVING TARGETS --
Objective: Finish one lap of Town Fingers before Lodumani does.
Time Limit: 40 seconds.

At the beginning of the race, Lodumani will cheat by leaving the starting line at the count of "2". To catch up, collect the item boxes in the shortcuts. Lodumani takes the long way around, and if you drift well, you may not need to use the items at all. If Lodumani gets ahead, simply shoot him with a missile. Lodumani does not retaliate.

-- TEST #3: BOOSTING UP RAMPS --
Objective: Reach the finish line in the time limit
Time Limit: 35 seconds

This one requires you to drift to gain Nitrous. Simply follow the lines on the track. Once you've gained 2 Nitrous, you can stop drifting. To make both of the jumps in the course, you must use your Nitrous. Be careful not to fall off the upper area, or you'll most definitely lose.

-- TEST #4: RAMP DRIFTING --
Objective: Make it to the end of a broken track. Falling off results in failure.
Time Limit: 36 seconds.

The sections of this course are not connected. Instead, you must drift off ramps to orient yourself on the next section of track. The arrows on the ramp indicate the direction to turn. There are two instances where you must boost up a ramp to make it over a gap. All in all, this is a rather easy test.

-- TEST #5: PUT YOUR SKILLS TO THE TEST --
Objective: Complete two laps on the Rotating Desert Site.
Time Limit: 2 minutes, 50 seconds

The only thing I can say here is try not to crash too often. If you've played this map in speed mode, you get the idea here. Simply finish the course. The track is actually easier than it seems, but watch out for that 90-degree S-bend. Finish this and you pass.

Rewards For completing the Test are...:
- L2 Drivers' License
- L2 Practice Kart
- Access to the L2 Channel and Courses

You also get...:
- Reduced Bonuses in L3 games and increased reductions in Rookie games

I would say 1500 Lucci required and 4000 Lucci as recommended because you really only need 1500 to pass the L2 license if you don't fail any stages.

Also, for Desert - Building Site, they added five seconds to the time limit.

Hahahah, it took me more tries on my older account. But once you get the hang of it, you can finish it no problem with even 10 seconds to spare.

Does the escape-->Retry work?

Ruris

It worked when I did it.

It worked when I did it.
Then why would we need 4k + when we can press escape--> retry?

The distance between the track and the floor isn't very far. It's entirely possible to hit the grass before you can press esc.

That's where acute reflexes come into play.

whats the point of licenses? do they make you go fast?

dream_storm47
03-21-2008, 03:16 PM
yes they make you go a bit faster. ~5-15 mph?

Also you get access to more maps, and the next channel for racing.

Omg test 4 when I first did the L2 test was freakin impossible. They make it look so easy on the videos. :P But now its a breeze haha. And yes you need very fast reflexes if you want to press escape and retry. The distance to reach the grass is small, allowing for almost no time to press esc.

Test 4 was actually easy for me. Test 1 was the true bitch. Now, the entire license exam is different.

In other news, the license tests in PopKart have been changed around a bit. I'll update on those a bit later.

The last part is easy.. it's just the rotating desert site. If you can get 2:50 on a PK in L3, you should be fine. I made a ton of mistakes and still passed.

The better key to press is 'R.'

1) It should be in finger-reach if you're using the left-shift to drift
and 2) It gives you another chance to complete the course without starting over.
